KADMS is regularly on the lookout for value enhancement and environmentally conscious projects. Ithas recently made a pioneer investment in Hellenic Minerals Limited in Cyprus.
Hellenic Minerals is a Cyprus domiciled company establishing itself in the field of hydrometallurgy at the Skouriotissa Mine location. It is in the process of implementing a large scale industrial investment to create a high-tech Nickel Sulphate production project that will be a significant contributor to the Cypriot economy. The project shall establish Hellenic Minerals as a leading innovating producer supporting the clean and green energy movement within the European region.
The new processing plant, which is being constructed, shall have a useful life of more than 30 years, a nominal annual capacity to produce up to 10,000 form of nickel salts and 150 tons of cobalt in the form of sulphates, which at current LME prices translates to annual sales revenues of of around US$175 million+. The primary raw material (nickel ore) will be imported from multiple sources around the world and will be processed to produce the final products.
